 Believe it or not, this is my nephew in the swimming hole at the ranch. From March through early summer, it's a great place for the kids to play; after May or June it usually gets a little slimy. This year is so dry that the creek is, well, like this. (There's a very small patch of algae-covered water about twenty feet upstream).

Looks bone dry, hot and dusty! I'd have thought this was a country road, not a swimming hole.

Holy Cow! Amazing difference here. It's a bit sad to think of how dry it is, especially for the farmers. Great texture, and I like how he is looking at his shadow.

Holy Moly, it is hard to believe that these are from the same place as this looks as if it has never seen water in decades. Your nephew looks wonderfully disgruntled (even though you cant see his face) about the fact that there will be no swimming and splashing today
