I grew up with a labrador/springer spaniel mix named Molly. Molly eventually grew old and sick and was put down about eight years ago. I was living in Florida at the time, which is the only reason I can pin down a year at all. Fast forward to Colorado, and my cousin Danny got a labrador/dalmatian puppy. She looked almost exactly like my Molly did. And Danny, without really knowing about my dog, named his puppy Molly.
I was over at their house today taking pictures so that they can advertise it for sale online. Taking the backyard shots was a challenge because Molly kept getting in the way. I ended up calling her over to me, telling her to sit and stay, and repeating, "Stay, stay, stay" as I looked through the viewfinder and snapped the shutter, then rewarding her with good ear scritches when I was finished with the shot. Here, she was completely engrossed in the scent of something I couldn't see and it was nearly impossible to get her off the patio for the shot I wanted.
It's not a wonderful shot by any stretch, so I tinkered with the processing a bit. |

| This is nice. Funny that Molly shares your old dog's name. We never forget our loving pets, I guess. Interesting pp, and I like that Molly's attention is so clearly diverted. |
