I thought of doing this the morning the challenge was posted, but didn't shot it until 4 1/2 hours to go. Start to finish (setup, photograph, edit) it took maybe 30 minutes. I'm tired and I have a headache. I forgot to set my ISO back to 100. I don't care, I'm not reshooting. I took 5 pictures. One before I set my white balance, one of the white card so I could set my white balance and then 3 more. This was the last one I took.
It's my daughter's American Girl doll, sitting on a card table in the basement, with just a bare incadescent bulb for lighting and a black felt background. I did comb her hair a little and wet my fingers (you know, like mom always did) to make her hair stay down.
Post Process:
rotate, crop, levels, Noise Ninja, USM, Alien Skin Exposure (Ilford Delta 100 - grain off), increase canvas for border, resize, convert to profile, save for web
My prediction is that my streak of six challenges in a row that my overall average goes up, will end....meaning, less than a 5.6. |
