 Playing around with my lensbaby. The streaks are actually distorted light reflections. I was amazed at the strange shapes they produced - in some shots they appeared to be going up from the coffee, in others falling down into it.

That is a weird effect with those streaks - if you wanted to further emphasize the notion that the streaks were either falling into or floating up out of the cup, you could heal out the slight streaks that appear below the lower rim line.
