 Figured I need to enter something traditional for once.
Cheers all.

Slight tilt on purpose, minimal post. Used a Grad ND filter (2 stop).

I guess not Oakland, funny though it could have been. I gave this an 8 I thought it was really good shot for the challenge.

Great depth, sky, and distant cranes walking in the water. Visually, you have a good sequence of light-dark-light. A slightly narrow crop, maybe coupled with a little less on the top and bottom, might have helped the cranes look more a part of the subject, and pushed your score into 6-land.

I think it would have looked a bit cooler if the boardwalk (or whatever) was horizontally straight. But you achieved a nice effect anyways, almost making it look like two images. Just a minor quibble though, and overall a great image IMO.

Is this out in Oakland? I like the the different layers you created from the pebbles, rocks, water wood pylons to the big StarWars looking things to the sky, very nice.
