Part of a day of events in the Stonehaven harbour. There was a viking boat, and people dressed up, and lots of cute rescue dogs and things.

Editing: it looked pretty mystical and unreal to start off with, I just tried to bring that out slightly more. Brightness/contrast, hue/sat, levels, dodge/burn, a bunch of soft light layers to try and make the light more interesting.

Oh, I love this. I don't understand the score. Maybe the mist isn't DPC friendly. Maybe a little more contrast between the boat and background would make this pop.

I beg to differ with some of the other commenters - I quite like the boat centered and in fact think it suits this very well. I think, though, that I'd like to see the background even duller/flatter as far as color is concerned, while maintaining the vibrance of the boat, to even further enhance the mystical time/space unreality.

Very cool shot. I think if you would have added a bit more contrast in the top section your probably would have scored a full point higher. Still, I think it is terrific as is and the square frame works well here. Cheers.

Looks just a touch underexposed. Otherwise nicely done!

This has the makings of a great shot, but the placement of the boad dead center in the image really takes away a great deal of interest. Placing it in the lower right corner and expanding the horizion would give a great deal more visual appeal.

Good subject matter. The photo seems a little washed out though.

You don't see one of those every day.
The background and sky seem a little flat but that might have been intentional. I think the boat is too centred - apply the rule of thirds.
