I gave it a 9, it is one of the few pictures where the "wow" of the picture is in the negative space. First you see the glasses and the tissue, and then you take a closer look you realize what it's all about...Thank you.

Touching...very touching. Beautiful use of negative space. I am very moved.

Good picture, great topic. I don't know if it is on challenge so much - the background is the topic would be the subject, wouldn't it? Just my opinion. I think maybe the out of focus faces is the neg. space here, in which case the glasses and tissue are not needed in the photo. Again, just my opinion - 6 MarkRob

It seems unpatriotic to give this one a low score, especially since the day holds such strong emotions for me. This one could use more stopping down to focus everything in the frame. Meeting you halfway, I give a 6.

Tricky subject matter, some people could say its abit explotive. Ignoring that, it is a very well composed picture and so I like it. 8-Martin

Great job with the mood. The black and white helps a lot.

Took a sec for me to realize what the photos all were. This is a powerful shot. 9

want you to know i ain't just givin you the sympathy vote, wouldn't give you a ten if it weren't a bomb photo, compelling subject matter aside.

toaching, moving, effective, space works ok here but its hard to tell negative from positive...8

I think the pictures that are supposed to represent your negative space is vital to the subject,. Without the pictures, then the message of the glasses is completely different. But, as a whole, it is a powerful statement.

This photo in my opinion certainly meets the challenge. The surrounding area is just as important as the object. The smaller pictures tell us part of the story... It makes me wonder now what relationship the person they are looking for is to the person with the glasses. Good job.

Damn. This one moved me. I was rating these and stopped at this one for quite a while. Very moving. Nice work, very nice work. ( I've rated this number two of 213 entries.)

Impressive! Great negative space. A bit off balance I think.

wow, very creative.

That's very good. The thumbnail photo background really works as negative space as it is really the last thing one looks at. Good luck with the challenge. 8

Moving shot with suttle impact. Very good. Love the b&w. Score 8 Justine.

I think this image is succesful in getting the message across. I like how you place the numbers and the pictures in a subtle way and use them as the negative space.

I like how you showed the dark and light contrast from the white tissue to the dark edges of the glasses.

Overall this is a good and effective composition.

This is a very nice tribute image... if the background is your negative space idea here, it is competing with your subject. If that is not the negative space of this image, I'm not sure what is... - jmsetzler
