I had just borought this "Libra" from my parents home (where it have been hanging for as long as I can remembre) when I saw this "position" between the moon and venus. This was a moment that I could not let go by without trying some shootings. Since the moon was going under and also there where some clouds in the sky which could block this view anytime I had to shoot it where I was and be fast.
One of my problem where citylights and some wind. It was unpossible to make the "libra" to be absolutly still while shooting, I obviously had to use long exposure time. This makes it be litle blured on the pic.
Also if I where aloved to use some retouching and cloning tools I would try to take away the "tree-thing" in the forground. Didnt notice it until a saw it on my computere screen.
I have no idea how this one will score but hope sombody will like it.

Should have taken more time there for a better capture but I like the idea very much

Good idea, but this shot seems a bit busy for me (to many focal points). Also I feel the image is underexposed/oversaturated.

If you're into the blurry and grainy shot, this is great. Taking night shots of the moon is diffcult on the point and shoot settings. Lucky for you I saw a few shots that were worse so you may not take last place.

a very good idea but it's a little too out of focus and noisy for my taste.

concdpt is good, but the left scale chains are blurry (movement) and is distracting, as is the stick in the middle. Also, the sclaes seem out of focus. sky is pretty

The scale seems to be very out of focus... I would think it should be the point of focus. And whatever is sticking up in the middle is very distracting.

Good composition. Focus on infinity or the scales but not the tree.

Very creative representation of the theme.

Good idea, I think it might have had more impact with the moon entering one side of the scales and venus the other, placed against the blue background.

Creative composition, not so wonderful photography (bright reflections are distracting).

Good concept. Too bad you couldn't get the bowls to hold still. And the stick to the left of the moon is distracting.

An excellent idea - Brilliant idea in fact but I think it has not quite come to fruition.
Unfortunatly this is one of those pictures that would need considerable setting up (not faking - just preparation).
I think the trees detract from the central image but at the same time the central image could be the planet, the moon, or the scales.
If the bacground could have been less cluttered - the scales in silhouette and the moon and stars where they are now in relation to the scales it would have been brilliant.

everything looks very tilted... did you use a tripod? interesting idea... but I'm not sure this was what you expected right? placing the scale somewhere else that wasn't right in front of the tree might have been useful.

Nice idea and great colors, a bit blurry though.
