What a great subject. And I do believe it is the sky and the center composition that really make this image pop. I'll assume you used some form of HDR to achieve the tonal range you have, and you did a wonderful job. Kudos.

I mostly really like this portrait, the only unsettling thing is the light coloured 'mask' like affect around his mouth. :)

Nice shot - Like the tones - Has a great magazine feel to it. Find the boat on the left really distracting - Love the sky - Still a great image. Nice
