Had a vision of doing a picture of an open Bible in the foreground of a beautiful sunrise/sunset, but wanted the text to be visible, and perhaps have a way to highlight a specific verse. Soon realized that most Bible print might be too small to do that effectively.

While stopping by our aunt's home out of state for just a few minutes, I noticed that she had a Bible with larger print on the table in her study. As I held it up toward the window to test frame a shot, I realized that the light passing through the paned glass was casting crosses all over the place (definitely a light-bulb moment). I ran out to the car, grabbed my camera and started taking photos, with everyone wondering what in the world I was doing!

The way the cross emphasizes my target verse(s), and frames the words "Everlasting Life" was icing on the cake.

Doesn't really matter whether the world gives this a ribbon, as this inspiration I receive as a gift from the Lord. Hallejula!

Beautiful the way the cross shadows the Word! I love this one.

Great image! Love the cross made by the window trim. Was going to use John 3:16-17 as well, but the old Bible I was using had it split on two pages front and back.

Nice idea to put the shadow of a cross on the page. Well done. I like the window there, too. Nicely composed.

Nice idea - using the shadow of the cross, don't think the top half of the frame ads much though.

I really, really like this. I love how the shadow of the cross is on the open Bible. The words are clear enough to read, the lighting is good. It's just a really good picture!
