On this outing I was restricting myself to a single lens, which forced me to take this picture from a couple hundred feet away. Even with the "right lens" I couldn't really be closer because there is a lake in the way.

Four images combined (tonemapped) with Photomatix Pro. Then, in Photoshop, USM 20% 40 radius for local contrast, curves to increase contrast, resize to 1600px wide and smart sharpen 40%, resize to 720 pixels wide and smart sharpen 40%. Save "for web".

Technicals: Lighting is good. It does have a slight tonemapped feel, but is certainly not overdone. The tonemapping may have lowered your contrast in some areas a bit too much which lends a slightly flat feel. The wide radius USM likely helped, but I'm looking for a tiny bit more. The main bush is where I see this the most.

The feel: Quaint. One somewhat limiting factor is all the foilage is of the general same color. This makes most of the shot blend and the bridge is the only thing that truly stands out.

The game: It's a nice shot. I think people usually search for a little more "wow". Getting "wow", however, is playing the game, not necessarily required for a good picture.

A bit sharp for me but nice composition

Nice exposure, love the detail. Hard to tell if this is a single photo, or a montage. Could use a stronger focal point.

I'm not sure about the composition of this image - I struggle to pick out the subject from the setting.
