My cat finally settled down enough to let me take her picture. cropped, convert to black and white, usm and draganizer (i got this idea from this shot by sandyp so props to her)
i hope this translates onto everyones monitor the way it does mine, and that its not too dark,i love this version because of the half light on the face, IMHO i feel this is one of my best shots to date

es, this is one of those times when you can only gasp a bit, then shrug your shoulders and let go.

Of course you have a gorgeous portrait here and except for a 'cat bias' it could easily have been on the front page. It has technique, originality and that 'wow' factor that is much appreciated ordinarily.

thanks for your interest on my photo"Wanna Swim", smardaz~

some fisherman (Chinese) always sun dry the seafood,if they caught too much or the fish they caught were not valuable enough to make their living, so they will rather sun dry the seafood and keep it for themselves

in this photo the fisherman is sun drying the fishes, probably the fish will used for making porridge.. the sun drying will process about three days under the sun.. and the fishes can be kept for a long time afterwards

its a way of the fisherman living

by the way, i love your photo "wisdom of the cat" the lighting from the side is just lovely

I agree Jason, this is an awesome photo, and a beautiful pet portrait. I'm honored that indirectly I was able to give you a tip that helped you to create such a gorgeous photo. The light and shadows are so artistic and beautiful. And of course, I love how you filled the frame :)

Way to go!!!

Lots of cat pics in this challenge, but this is one of the better ones. The mix of light and shadow is lovely.

I think a bit more contrast would have added to this. It's still great, though. That's my only gripe with this.
