I used filters, sharpness, smoothing and a border to finish off.

Quite simple, but I think it conveys my thoughts well :)

I have the A360 Fuji and I see that everyone was commenting about the focus in this image. If you want to shoot this close with the 340, try using the "macro" mode. With the camera in the "camera' mode, find the button that brings up the little "flower" symbol that looks like a tulip on the screen. The camera will then be able to focus with the subject very close to it. Don't be discouraged. You will learn and do well if you keep shooting. You can't hurt the camera by trying out all the features.
The "yellow" cast may be from the light you were using. Regular incandescent bulbs give off a very orange looking light.

The lighting has a yellow cast and the face appears to be a bit out of focus.

I think the DoF might have been confused...the focus appears to have been on the bottom left of the image.

Nice smile and fits the challenge well, but the lack of some sharpness--especially in the eyes--is missed by the viewer.
