Technicals: The lighting is nicely dynamic. We see a nice play among the petals.
The feel: Although the challenge is Fill the Frame, the good ones had a purpose for filling it. What is the purpose for the tight crop here? I'm not sure I get one. I've seen cropped roses before though that did accomplish this. Usually they had very delicate lighting, worked on an almost abstract level, or had a secondary subject like a waterdrop or a bug.

The game: With 137 challenges under your belt, I'm pretty sure you knew what you were getting into when you entered a heavily filtered shot like this. ;) Should have saved it for impressionism.

Around us, every day, are scenes of art, of beauty, of life. Some people never see them. Others see them, but cannot convey that beauty to others. Still others see them and can help the rest of us to see them, as they are. And then, a few, just a few, can see beauty where it is hidden, deep within the mundane, or the popular, and can bring that beauty to us, can find it hidden deep in the metal, or the grime, or the plastic that fills that our daily lives. You are one of these people. Wonderfully found and presented. Horribly under-appreciated.

Now that is an interesting look. Did you do it with lighting (perhaps painting with light), or with post-processing? Either way, it's a nifty image.

Beautiful light and color. I like the processing with the edges of the petals highlighted like that and the rest of the image in soft focus. The more I look at it, the better I like it. 10
