|Don't ask me why, but I felt compelled to capture a toad for this challenge. And then I dressed it in an itty bitty feather boa that looked quite like a punk sort of hairdo. I'm not sure s/he appreciated the modelling opportunity, but I released the toad as soon as I was done, and that wasn't after too many shots. The concept was weird enough that I figured I didn't need to torture the poor thing for long. In an odd mood tonight, I guess (me; don't know about the toad). This is not my favorite shot from those I took but it does meet the challenge best.
He was posed on a black piece of fabric, with a light behind him and the external flash+diffuser on the camera for fill.
PP - converted from RAW, rotated, cropped, levels, white balance, dodged catchlights in eyes, cloned out hair(?) in one eye, dodged/burnt a bit on face nad feathers to emphasize texture, resized, sharpened with noise reduction.
