Challenge: Things That Go Together (Advanced Editing I)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: Home - GA.
Date: Jan 28, 2004
Aperture: 6.3
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/4
Galleries: Fashion, Persuasive
Date Uploaded: Jan 31, 2004

Natural light from opposing window was only light source used. Camera was in manual mode and self-timer was set, a lot of running back and forth. :)

Post processing included using healing brush and some cloning to clean up some wrinkles and folds in the fabric background, adjusted curves to add a little more contrast and sent through neatimage to smooth a bit. No cropping was done, just resized to fit size requirements.

I love the knockneed inturned legs- it makes the picture sexy- or I guess the word is "naughty" Which is strange because its natural light adn that normally doesn't say "sex"- but the sweater behind the thigh is nice too. I think what is strange here is that you managed to entice and create wonder without showing much at all.
great shot.

Wow! This one really killed me, cause I totally missed it. Thought it was a pretty decent photo. Oh well, live and learn. At first I thought it was the title that was killing me, but turns out it just was technically not good.

I didn't show the stilettos because they aren't stilettos... original title for this was "Shoes and socks" but was told it was too dull of a title, was also thinking about "Sugar & Spice" but in the end I don't think it would've made a difference. Thanks for all the feedback! :)

hmph - I think this is a WONDERFUL photo and I'm very sorry I only gave it an 8. I wish I had given it a ten!

Well, yes they do go together but not quite like this in my mind, LOL! I would expect fish net stockings to start and to be able to see the heel of the shoe, a shot from behind or the side would have much more impact for me. The bare leg above the stocking is distracting as is the sweater that is hanging down. Perhaps a tighter crop on the top? Also the way the legs are positioned rather strangely to me, not sure quite what you were going for. A 5

Good idea, but we can't see if those are indeed stilleto's.. the image should not need the title to express the idea. 5

I'm a little disappointed at this picture. You really could've done a lot of things with these legs and shoes. cutting off the leg on the left was probably not advised. Probably included a little more of the top, just for perspective's sake and made the background solid. Definitely there are photos here to be had, but this isn't one of the better ones.

Showing the stilettos might have helped.

Very nice idea. Good composition; lighting is good. I find some sort of imbalance on the subjects against the blue background. The high contrast between the stockings and the b/g is good but imo they overpower the stilletos which are too dark against the background... just a thought, it's a good photo nonetheless,

Not a very good shot...wouldn't have even known they were stilletos if you hadn't said so in the title....keep trying.

I don't dislike your idea but the black shoes are lost on the dark bg. It's a sexy shot and I wish you luck in the challenge.

Would have preferred maybe a side angled shot of the stilletos to see their heel better and maybe more sheer and transparent skin toned stockings. As it is now, I think the top of the image is weak and you could have cropped right below the knees. Adding another accoutrement would also strengthen the image, such as a small purse to match the shoes, but that would necessitate a different stance by the model.

They would go well together, but I can't see the heels. Also, the skirt at the top distracts a touch. 4

Nice concept, akward crop, leaves you wanting to see more though ;)

would have been much more effective to see the heels
