Great macro, I think having the ants on the side of the rope could have worked better |

Not sure that I like the image. Perhaps a different perspective and a bit more focus would help this along. Also think that a black background dropped in behind it might have helped to bring out some life in the image. |

When shooting something like this try not to place the subject dead center in the shot. Place it to one side or the other in the frame to give it a less calculated fell.
Sharperness could really be a bit better here, the top ant seems to be in focus but the other to are not. Maybe using a smaller aperture (bigger #) would help to bring more in to focus in the shot. |
