I don't normally do floral type stuff, so this was kind of fun and unusual to do. Got a bunch of sunflowers, played around with them and with different backgrounds and types of light. For this pic, I used a 165mm zoom and the biggest aperture I have to get the nice bokeh. The camera was handheld, and the stabiliser did a lovely job of keeping it still.
Editing: shadows/highlights, levels, curves, brightness/contrast, hue/sat, selective colour, colour balance, warming filter, usm, neat image |

Personally, this is near perfect bokeh. The background is smooth and buttery without any harsh transitions. Some people love the little aperature circles for some reason even though it really isn't what bokeh is all about. |

This is a beautiful picture. I love the focus and depth of field. The subtle variations in color in the background are lovely. For the Bokeh challenge, I think a shinier background would have helped the score. |
