 Well, it is Friday night and I've been working on this image for days. I'm a little afraid that it is to much photoshop. I'm a painter- so I like a somewhat painterly look. Anyway, It is three images and parts and pieces of them. I'm so tired but I'll say a little more.
I was out photographing for the rural challenge (which went BAD) and I saw this family at the lake. I noticed the float right away- It was so graphic and unique. I had my veil in the trunk (don't ask) and I asked the family if the girls could put it on and just do whatever. I loved this shot and knew it would be a dream/surreal shot. She was preteen and I thought the contrast between the child float and the adult veil was interesting. Anyway, It's my style and I hope someone likes it.
ps. It probaly needs more contrast- but I'm afraid of making it to dark- if I paint it- it will be darker. fyi
oh! maybe it is to light! oh! I don't care- On to the Impressionism challenge.

WOW ..!! .. this is amazing .. love the contrast between the little girl and her surroundings .. her expression, the veil, the composition .. another brilliant image angela .. :)

fascinating mix of the fantastic and the mundane. a daydream. interestingly, we are more watching her dream, than seeing the dreams themselves. And it's better that way. We watch her not in her dream, but at least wearing her dream. Yes, the pool has turned into a lake, but look how empty it is. She is seeing much more than we are.
