I almost did this shot too! I tried a couple of different ways but couldn't get it to work for me. This is not a bad shot but the salt and pepper getting cut off on the bottom hurts the shot and all the stray seasoning is very distracting. Also the light is a bit harsh it would seem. A 5

I like how the salt and pepper on the top are spread out, making it look more like a night scene. I don't like the two groups of salt and pepper at the bottom, but I'm guessing they represent mountains. Nice photo.

Good color contrast. I think a lower, closer perspective would work with shot, so that you didn't have quite so much background showing.

I hate to be the bearer of only negative comments, sorry. Lighting seems to be a bit harsh and this is not the most exciting composition.

I like the piles of salt and pepper in the composition. You have a cute set of salt and pepper shakers, and they are rendered very well. Nice shot.

Now, these are original pieces! I expect you bring these out for special occasions. And they certainly meet the Challenge. It's a fun entry.

A bit overexposed in front, especially compared with far background. Should probably show all the piles and had them peaked instead of flattened out.
