It was 10 degrees F (about -11 C) with a windchill of 0 F (-18 C), yet this man was seen walking his dog on the shore of Lake Michigan in Chicago.

Tech: taken with my zoom lens at full extension; cropped, cloned out one figure on the bridge, autolevels, resize and unsharp mask.

The colors are somewhat drab but I think the smallness of the man and dog make this a strong picture. I'd leave the second part off the title...the first part stands on its own.

You have captured the feeling of just the two of you alone in the landscape. I think cropping away some of the sky would actually enhance the lonely effect by making the land appear to go even further into the distance. Try moving the picture up and down on the monitor to cut some off to see what I mean.
