I see that I messed up in my processing. I actually went for the grainy look. I thought the plain white walls of the church did nothing for the photo, so I warmed them up and added some film grain to add a little texture. Thank you all for your comments. This is a beautiful old church with amazing stained glass windows. |

Well, here's my two cents. :)
My first impression of the image was that it was out of focus. It's not really; but the arm of the closest pew is out of focus, and since it's a large and dominates much of the shot, it kind of messed up my whole initial reaction of the photo. Either cropping that first pew arm out might have helped, or if possible, a less shallow depth of field would have fixed that while you actually taking the photo.
Also, it looks really grainy! If it's possible, I would suggest lowering the ISO on your camera. Getting rid of the grain will also make the photo appear in better focus.
And last, the composition. It's really kind of confusing. Instead of leading my eye to a particular point, my eye akwardly wanders all over the place. For this particular shot, I would suggest choosing a whole different angle for the shot.
I hope this was helpful! :) |

Your photo is very grainy and the colors washed out. I see what you intended but perhaps shooting at a lower ISO and a slower F/stop and converted to B&W you could boost the levels and saturate the blacks a little you would have a little better image. |

I would imagine that the idea is the power behind prayer. I really like that idea, but I feel like the image could use some improvements, such as adding contrast. It feels like the image is kind of hazy and I think bumping up the contrast would make the image look a little sharper. Also, if you took a step to the left and got a few pews in the shot. More pews and more contrast could make this image really strong. |

Not crystal clear like it should be to be powerful. |

This seems to be stretching the definition of "power" too far. |

Noise. More like a snapshot because of the compostion... I think if the pew was not so close and the windows were in the center it would have worked better. |

I'd probably have touched up this one a little more, cos it looks pretty washed out. Grey tones..Good idea.. |

Nice thought behind this one, the lighting however isn't very good, and it seems soft. |

Needs a sharper focus and looks very grainy to me. |
