It's funny to say this but it actually makes me a bit seasick to look at it - not saying that's a bad thing, by the way. All by way of saying that I like how the sloping line of trees and further slope of the mountain run counter to each other and introduce a nice energy to what would ordinarily be a static landscape shot. Fantastic as b&w. |

Beautiful landscape photo. This could have been Top 10 in a landscape challenge. Well, in a perfect world, anyway... |

This is great Jayson. Ansel Adams would be proud. |

Personally, I am drawn to the big fluffy clouds. Not as powerful as the mountain in the background of course lol. Very nice black and white contrast but I would like to see this in color as well. Nice job! |

Beautiful. The B&W is really nice. I don't understand all those low votes -- one or two are sort of normal, but this is ridiculous. |

I really like this photo, but am torn between does it fit the challenge or does it not fit. I mean, I get the what you are trying to convey, but I'm just not in tune with the power of the scene, other than it's beauty, which I guess is still "power." Great image either way! |

the crookedness of the photo pulls me out of the moment |

I don't know the place. But "power center" (new age term I heard from people who don't get out enough - like me) comes to mind. It's an interesting photo - kind of a natural path of the eye curving around the right of the lone stand of trees in the foreground, down to the lowest point of elevation and up to the cut in the mountain top. |

Nice image but I think it could use more shadow detail and a more interesting foreground. |

Very nice B&W. I like the dramatic sky. I like the texture of the mountain. Don't like so much that the trees have lost their detail. Photo doesn't seem to me to relate very closely to the challenge theme. |
