Yeah gotta agree it looked like a bear to me as well. Nice Bokeh in the background but maybe some could be cropped.

Great bokeh in the back (and for the purists out there, you do have the litte circles that are apparently necessary for good bokeh) and you really made the dog stand out from the rest. I think it would help if you cropped tighter around the dog. It would make the most of the good DOF you gave this picture.
