hollowpoint bullets... right?

Very nice picture though :)

Nice job positioning the pistol at an unusual angle. I'll try to avoid those extra-lethal bullets.

Excellent rendering with an explicitly commercial feel to it.

Minor but critical defects:
The near-centered target (background) skews the composition by thirds (foreground).
The far edge of the glass shelf (foreground) suffers from a anti-clockwise tilt, neither strong enough to add a dynamic nor imperceptible enough to be ignored.
A little more (reflective shelf) space in front of the gun may make for a more pleasing whole.

Because of the strong mercantile presentation, particularly when associated with a gun, I cannot rate this shot as well as I might have without these obvious aspects.

I would have love to seen this with just a black background. Awesome job on the gun and amo. Very cool...the target in the back blows it for me. Great concept!

I'd recommend a little more foreground, so we can see the top of the bullets reflect, and a solid well lite background. This is a really good photo minus that target.

Well taken photo. I think it needs a litle room at the bottom of the frame. Its just a little too crowded. Good idea and well shot.

Nicely done very sharp

Great work at keeping lighting glares to a minimum.

is that an airsoft gun? (red tip) Great composition, technically sound. I like the border too.

nice image. I like the target in the background

Nicely done. Looks like you might be low and to the left. What is red color inside the barrel?

Nice setup of the gun and amo. frame and target bit destracting.

Great rendering of the metallic textures - both shiny and dulled, and I like the reflective surface. I find the out-of-focus target in the background disturbing.

Good capture of the pistol and bullets - target in the background is a nice touch. Pistol looks like an early 1980's AMT Hardballer - I'm sure adjustable rear sights, higher profile front sight and adjustable trigger would up your score :) That, and those light weight Hydra-Shock bullets will jam if you don't convert to a lighter after market recoil spring.

Not crazy for the white line. but I think the shot is done well, good composition.
02/02/2004 06:54:31 PM
Very clear "shot"
02/02/2004 12:05:54 PM
Great shot (no pun intended). I like the way the target is blurred in the background.
02/02/2004 11:03:34 AM
sorry, but i have to disagree. these do not go together at all.
02/02/2004 08:10:15 AM
well done, like the dof on the target.

With all of the reflecting potential of the metal surfaces, this image is exposed beautifully
