 My friend Natasha was kind enough to spend an hour posing for me (it was a fun morning!).
This shot was actually taken in her bathroom in front of the door (the only plain background we could find in her flat), and I was trying to get as far away as possible to use the zoom without quite stepping into the shower.

Lots of editing - levels, hue/sat, warming filter, minor cloning (stray hairs and a couple of birthmarks), slight gaussian for the skin, lots of soft light layers to shift the light, added a bit more blue to the eyes, copy and overlay the whole thing, usm.

Great pose, love the simple coloring of the bright blues. It works well w ith the candy, eyes, and dress. Nice lines.

Great adherence to the color theme, with all those blues popping up everywhere - I like that they're all hints of blue, nothing really overpowering the shot. Great portrait!

Great use of colours which are all very complimentary. Not sure why but for some reason the DOF seems a tad off (though having said that I should emphasise it is a way better portrait than I could take)

the blue theme works very well - good tones and composition but I am not a fan of the treatment of the skin - is seems overly blurred

IMO the eyes are a bit over done but I understand the flow with the rest of the photo, Beautiful photo anyway. Great Job!

A shame her face isn't completely in focus as this is the major draw. Also, the shadows on the left side make the picture look duller overall. Some sharpening and a sky-blue backdrop to maintain the blue theme throughout would have made it pretty darned good.
