Critique Club feedback -
Looks like bokeh to me and I think it enhances the subject, just in an unusual way.
I like the narrow focus falling just on the bug and the overall green cast to the shot. The details under the bug are also very nice.
Could try playing with the composition on this to see if you can get it to pop a bit more, but overall this isn't a bad shot at all. |

I'm guessing this is probably how the photo was taken, but it would be much better if you rotated it. I like the colour adjustment. |

I like this pic, i would've liked to have seen a little more detail on the surface though, it's been blown out a little, but good detail has been retained on the mantis. I like the pic overall and the tone. nice! |

Cool close up of this little guy. The lighting in this picture is harsh, and makes it a hard picture to look at. I wished the background were a different color to make the praying mantis stand out, but that is probably something that couldn't be helped. :) It also seems to me that the focus is on the ground just in front of the praying mantis and not on him. |
