 I have no idea what the purpose of this edifice is, but it made me smile, so I'm sharing it with you.

The color version shows the sunrise the way i prefer it

Neat shot, I would imagine this thing would make you smile when you passed it even if you were having a bad day.

:) What IS that thing? You've captured the details of it very well when you look closely at the construction of it.

I too am curious as to why the sun gets lost in the B/W conversion. Was it the filtering color you selected perhaps? Hmmm...now I want to try one (a sunrise/sunset) to see.

Well if there is ever a challenge of misplaced objects this would be a contender. It made me smile when I opened it. Great detail and composition.

I woner if this is the Great Pumpkin. It makes for a pretty cool landscape, the thing is so out of place.

My comment exactly! Try to get the sun back into the image, the B&W version is too blown out, losing a subtle, but wonderful part of the image.

Makes me smile too. Too bad the sunrise is completely lost here (I like it in the colored version). Don't know how, but there should be method to keep this in the B&W version?
