I was out shooting in my garden the other day and just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I thought this would be a good one for the closing challenge. Poor little fly never had a chance.

This has the "Whiterook" effect of lack of focus and incongruous title. The lighting is too harsh on the subject.

The image is a bit out of focus, but interesting take on the theme.

Guessing this is a spider either closing a strand of a web or closing in on a victim trapped in it. Unfortunately the focus is slightly out on this which is a shame as it looked like it could have been a great image

the color balance, and the focus seems overall off

This shot has really good composition, colors and background bokeh. However, in this case, without focus on the spider, it's lacking a focal point. Really good idea - I'm looking forward to future entries from you, combine all of those elements, and you'll be doing fine! Cheers, Ralf

I HATE SPIDERS! But... this photo is out of focus, not on theme and I'm gonna rate yoy really low!

Nice idea, but focus is soft and the whites are blown out slightly. The bright sun, I think, was too much for the subject. If you had put a gauze or muslim scrim up, that would have softened the light up enough to even it out for a better exposure.

shame this is out of focus.

could have been a great shot. Sorry it's out of focus...
09/15/2007 01:18:42 AM
Wish the spider was more in focus!
09/14/2007 08:35:45 PM
Nice idea but looks blurred.
09/14/2007 12:15:55 PM
OOF and the spider has blown out highlights
09/14/2007 08:20:06 AM
Blur.
09/14/2007 06:55:33 AM
could do with being in focus more.
09/13/2007 11:12:11 PM
Intereting colors, but too out of focus, and highlights are blown out.
09/13/2007 08:04:57 PM
Great color but lots of blur too. More focus/detail on the spider would be better.
09/13/2007 02:34:26 PM
This was a great composition but it is way blurred. Perhaps a faster shutter next time.
09/13/2007 09:04:07 AM
a tad...out of focus
09/12/2007 09:10:09 PM
The focus is just a little too soft for me. Great capture though.
09/12/2007 09:06:38 PM
Not sure if the spider is out of focus or overexposed. Nice composition, though.
09/12/2007 08:16:32 PM
Very nice highlights on the spider and the web. I like the strong colors in the background. The focus on the spider and his web could be sharper.
09/12/2007 05:43:24 PM
The lack of focus makes me feel a bit icky!
09/12/2007 04:00:50 PM
This is nice but the spider looks a little blown out by the sun.
09/12/2007 02:27:16 PM
Wishing it were in focus more.
09/12/2007 12:03:38 PM
the spider is too blury.
09/12/2007 11:43:45 AM
This could have been a nice photo but nothing is in focus to me. The spider, the web, the flower or the background or something should have at least had the focus. Sorry.
09/12/2007 10:49:06 AM
The spider is over exposed and out of focus.
09/12/2007 10:46:23 AM
Nice idea, but I think the image is a little to fuzzy.
09/12/2007 02:32:29 AM
Looks like the spider was too near to the camera to focus and/or you needed to turn your macro mode on.
09/12/2007 02:30:48 AM
This looks out of focus to me
09/12/2007 01:45:26 AM
A bet out of focus,
Cheers,
