 This is obviously a long stemed American Beauty red rose. The only addition editing that was applied here was I had to use the blur tool on two of the petals, the petals had some dark spots and I removed them.

This seems a little 'busy', I think there are loads of things to look at. More than one part of the photo is in focus, I'm really looking for only one area.

Saying that though, this is a reallu good photo! Nice red colouring, good lighting etc. Just too much going on.

Nice capture. I would have loved to see the type of OOF colors on the lower left dominate the entire background (may not be the scene, but that provides the greatest contrast and impact.)

"My love is like a red, red rose...." Pretty shot. The DOF helps to take my mind beyond the photo itself and to other things that might be related. The warm background may indicate some romance or love, but more clues would help. 8

The 'red' saturation in this photo feels a bit harsh for me. Shallow depth of field works ok, but the parts of your image that are out of field are insignificant and don't support your subject with much strength.
