How wonderfully appropriate for the challenge. 'Tis a simple shot beautifully done, but really rather thought-provoking as well on a whole 'nuther level, too.

Rather than closing the gap, it looks as if the spider has closed in on dinner! Nice definition on the web's dew drops. Nice, pleasing background color.

This appears to be a fly caught in a spider web? So it does not show something closing. Cool photo, tho. The fly is a little lacking in sharpness. (5)
