Blur side challenge...

Il Ragno
ragno, ragno
fila la tua tela,
e bella da verderla
(from one of my children's Italian song tapes: "Spider, spider spin your web, it's beautiful to see!")

What an incredible way to spend a small part of the morning, watching (through the macro lens) the spider so busy; the web itself was very tiny as the spider approx 3-5mm small, worked w/o pause to create this amazing structure! The morning breeze was relentless, so all images were blurry.

EDIT: PS adjust contrast, lighting & crop, then converted to Greyscale, popped contrast again.

Those little guys are relentless in their work habits. Very nice image.

That is a perfect little web. Good capture, and happy that you took time to see it constructed. We all need to stop and see the spiders once in a while.

Love this! Love the B&W and the perfection of the pattern in the web.

First impression: cosmic spider. The soft b&w conversion turns the background into clouds and the web into a structure emerging from the moon and descending through the sky. Macro lenses really do open up an entirely different and wonderful universe.

spiders are amazing...so long as they are not too big!
