I'll probably get killed in the voting or DMNC'd do death in comments because this isn't an *exact* replica of the image in tribute ... but it does emulate the original in concept, location and subject.

The ribbon winner this is based on is the Monte de Espuma entry by thegrandwazoo , itself based on DrAchoo's Top 20 placing Postcard entry from the same area - Lost Dutchman State Park east of Phoenix. So is this really dejA choo III? :-P

Wow, very lovely capture! I love the clouds, the color hue of the sky and the play of light & shadows along the craggy mountains! Nicely done. My only suggestion on how to improve the visual appeal of this image is to balance the elements a bit more. I think a composition of having the full (you only have the top portion of it) cactus off to far right hand side while the craggy mountains dominate the far left and span to the middle of the shot would be visually stunning. It would provide a full length of elements for the eye to travel across the length of the photo.

A very good shot with thh star trails. Not as much color or as wide of a view as the original (both of which are what makes it good to me), but not a bad shot in it's own right.

Oh wow... Awesome shot. Love the star trails. The clouds add a great element to this shot as well.

slightly differnt POV and a closer crop, but color and clarity are better than the original

i think the placement of the cactus on the original really helps the photo. in yours the cacti jutting into the bright sky distract from the mountain. no central focus.
