Taken in my garden, the first time I seen this guy, I thought it was a hummingbird, but after close inspection, and some Google searching, I found out that it is in fact a moth.
Editing was very simplistic, could have almost been done in basic. Sharpened the moth, adjusted contrast, pushed up the purples just a bit, cloned out his leg that was sticking out, added border, resized, saved for web.
Hoping for a 6.0... |

| Ah - is that a Hummingbird Hawk Moth ? Good capture and I think the motion blur on the wings adds to this. Perhaps the focus could have been a tiny bit crisper on the moth ? |

Voted on the low side... the colors are a little on the plain side for me, I would not have known this was a moth without reading your title. I think the beauty in moths/butterflies comes from their wings which which are blurred to where you almost can't make them out. Missing sharpness on the body of the moth and flower its landing on.
Do like that it wasn't a humming bird trying to be captured again and would like to see another attempt at this. If the stop motion could be captured it could be quite nice. |
