You've captured the sense of bleakness from old places that are shut down.
I agree with the other person about cloning out that dust spot, though. Either that or add a bunch more. :) |

I love the blankness. It really brings out the sentiment that drive-ins are a thing of the past, abandonned and forgotten in many respects. That big expanse of sky sort of emphasizes what once was and what isn't any more. Very cool. |

I'll be honest and hopefully not offend - I think you are missing some real gems with these scenes by not getting in there and looking around. Such wide shots aren't very interesting, but each of them shows glimpses of interesting things which are small or obscured. My free advice - get your shoes dirty and get in there. |

Icon of the past!
This series is a fine record of the demise of a unique American culture.
Tech Note: be more careful with dust. |

Don't see many of these any more. There is one that is still operating up near Auburn, Indiana. You pay one price, and can sit in your car (or outside if you prefer), and can watch 2 or 3 movies. If the mosquitoes don't eat you alive, it can be rather enjoyable to cuddle under a blanket and watch a movie under the stars. This is a nice capture, and looks like it is just before starting to get dark. |
