 The day I took this shot was extremely windy. First off the plane in the shot is a Schweitzer SGU 2-22 glider owned by Silent Wings Soaring of Grove City, PA. Do to winds in excess of 10mph the traffic pattern was in closer to the field resulting in plenty of time 1-on-1 with the crafts. When the gliders would land they would land into the wind, slowing them down for enough time to nicely line up a shot. Building weather in the background led to a more dramatic shot rather to a shot with clear skys.
