Wonderful capture. Poles and other elements do not bother me at all, but CNovak has made an interesting suggestion in regards to the crop. I wonder if it would have been legal to clone out the little second hoop under AE rules. |

Wow! Absolutely great composition capturing the moment of 'flight' as this basketball player soars to slam dunk that ball into the hoop! While the player is in silhouette (as opposed to the original) the clarity of his poise and the details of the outlined shapes (including the ball) is wonderful! Love the colors of the sky - there are nice rich tones in the sunset seen here. While I realize that it would be impossible to fully remove those posts seen in the background of your frame (unless the other side of the court is clear of the posts) I do have one easy remedied suggestion to improve the composition. I think it would FURTHER increase the visual impact of the photo if the there is only ONE hoop visible in the shot. This would invoke the idea of the location being a lone court where this basketball player shoots the hoops. Off to the far right hand corner we see another basketball hoop. Cropping out the bottom portion containing that hoop to just right above the top of the hoop is the easy solution. |

Not quite as clean as the original but a nice silhouette with dramatic skies. 6 |

I like this better than the original in many ways. It's beautiful. Congratulations. 10 |

A really nice silhouette shot. Crisp, clean, great color. Lacks the lighting drama of Larus' shot, but still pretty darn good. |

Cool colours and stop action but the background and fill flash made the original shot. |

Great capture! A little too tilted, perhaps, but the silhouette WORKS! Hey, Bravo to you for a super cool shot! *Wish I still owned a sports bar....this would be in it!* *7* |

Honored you chose one of mine to tribute to :) Nice shot, mine actually wasn´t a silhouette but unless you have a pretty powerful light I guess there was nothing you could have done with it, hope people are not slamming it because of that cause I actually like this shot as a silhouette. Nice sky and I dig the poles in the shot, it was an important element in my shot as well. |

great silhouette. Unfortunate about the light posts, looks like he might impale himself on the way down. |
