 September 19 1988, 19 years ago I almost bought the farm myself. So I usually take time alone on this day and count my blessings. Today I walked through one of the older Cemetaries in our town and came across this one.

The thing that brought me to this was the account of the death age down to the day.

Nice to read your tale. The image itself resonates with you because of the backstory, I'm not sure how well it comes across to me the viewer as presented though.

I like the artwork they used to put into tombstones. This is a nice shot - rotating to portrait would make it easier to read. Isn't it interesting how a brush with death changes one's perspectives?

You have some very nice detail in the shot. I like the centered composition, tones and how the stone seems to pop from the grass. Very nice photo. Nothing to be sorry about.
