Concept is nice. I think the lighting is a little harsh perhaps. Or maybe just changing the angle of it would help. ?? just random thoughts.

I like your idea a lot. It has nice colors that the neg space puncuates extremely well. I think you need to play with the composition and shadow more to develop this a bit further.
