 The promotees headed down the stairs of the palace, singing a Navy song of which they all knew the first verse very well, the second verse not so much. (Which is OK - no one in the Air Force even knows there are other verses to the Air Force song..)

Strange how the soldiers blend into the geometry of the shot. Interesting POV.

Because everyone is dressed the same, it reminds me of those photos people take of several images of themselves in one photo. The cascading staircase is beautiful!

Great shot! I like the B&W treatment and now I see why they wear camouflage over there. :)

You did a great job on this entire series. The overhead perspective was great!

DEB!! This is really telling. It has so much symbolic meaning and the curve of the architecture making them spiral (like maybe spiraling out of control?) as they head down (deep into the depths) the stairs. Ok, maybe I'm getting a little too metaphorical, or too deep, but I am just stunned by this. Maybe it's only half a cup of coffee down this morning, but I truly love it. The tones, the composition, but mostly the story it creates for me.

..."Until we meet once more,
