People just don't understand...
(of course I should be a shoehorn salesman)
...great photo, just not cliche enough as you pointed out. |

I don't know if it meets the requirements 100% or not, but nevertheless, this is a really cool picture... It may have stood out a little more if you would have been able to zoom in closer to the ball |

No, it's not photoshopped, except for sharpening.
17 ones, wow! =D I guess there's a specific size at which a baseball would become still life...
Sort of makes you wish the pitcher had thrown a cornucopia or some wine glasses, eh? =D
Cheers, all! |

I almost missed the ball. How on earth did you catch it like that? Can't wait to see if this gets hammered per the definition of still life but I like it. I think it's pretty cool! (7) |

cool capture of the ball, but you may have done the opposite of the challenge. |

call me crazy, but this looks like excessive use of photoshop |

A heck of a capture but for me you've only met the motion aspect of this challenge.
Returning to bump this up. It has grown on me since first viewing it. One thing that this has that others don't is a sense of creation. This doesn't exist if you don't make it happen so in that respect it's much like still life. Also, I can't help but appreciate the reversal of still vs motion you did in this shot. The ball should be in motion but it's not and the players who should be more stationary than the ball is in motion thanks to the motion blur. Clever photo. |

I see plenty of motion, but where's the still life? |

Nice catch! However, not a still life. |

Sorry, but I don't get a feel for a still life shot at all. While the focus in the ball appears crisp, this is not a still life. |

Close but not quite there. Great idea and hard to capture. |

nicely done, but perhaps cropping a section to enlarge the baseball would work better - 7 |

So interesting. I don't like that the ball, which is the subject of the picture is so small. This idea might have worked out better with a different "setup" and composition. |

it's amazing how you were able to get the ball perfectly still, However the photo as a whole is not very apealing. |
