maybe if the camera were a bit up, it would have given you a better perspective on the lace.

Nice, love the lighting in this one but would've liked the tip of the shoelace to be in focus, too (probably close to impossible with the camera that close).

A bit more detail or light on the foot of the show would have been nice, but as is good focus and clean processing. 7

The shoe is almost blending in with the dark shadow...maybe if you could have made a positive negative take on this just brown and black somehow would've improved it a great deal in my opinion

Clever idea. I think either more of the shoe in the shot or a shoe in a different color than the bkgrd would make it better. I want more shoe! Like the perspective though.
