Strong composition with a dark dominant center and strong geometric shapes spiraling around it.
I think the darkness adds a humorous gravitas (an oxymoron, I know. the gravitas is humorous because it is out of place. or is it? it's all in your point of view). |

Cute. Not enough detail in the darks. Composition OK. |

The floor level perspective is good, but for me the photo is let down by the distracting background. |

Love the expression but the face is a little dark! |

It's a cute dog. I find the background distracting. |

Awww, what a sad lookin' feller. Had there been a bit more light highlighting its face, I would have scored it higher. |

adorable pose but you could do much better with the lighting. the eye is naturally drawn to the brightest area of a photo and that being the background instead of the subject takes away from the photo. by cropping it in somemore or burning in the background and dodging the face you would have gotten a much better picture. |

Pretty good picture of a dog - I do like your perspective - but not a "high scoring DPC Free Study" picture of a dog. The diagonal stuff behind draws the eye, taking away from your subject, and the light appears to be coming from the sides/back more than the front - and it's the front where you want a bit more light, to highlight the face and eyes a bit better. |
