 Bought a selection of dahlias and other flowers at the Rittenhouse Square Farmers Market last Saturday. This is one of them. I changed the camera parameter on my Nikon from sharper to softer focus. In shooting, I focused bottom center with a medium aperture to soften the image more. Wanted to avoid using any blur, thought I did try it.
Shot in studio, hand held and lit with two clamp lamps each with a 100w halogen bulb above and to the left and right of the subject.

Post: Convert from raw in PSElements 3.0 with a +0.67 exposure compensation. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Spot edit for dust. NeatImage. Sharpen. Layer of curves adjustment. Resize. Sharpen.
