A pup at the home of a good friend of mine, exploring with her mouth. My friend's husband does a lot of woodworking so there are bits and pieces of spare wood all over the backyard. In addition to the pup's expression I liked the way the wood in the background mirrored the shape of the pup.
PP - converted from RAW, cropped, levels, increased daturation, dodged eye, added border, resized, sharpened with noise reduction, colored log more brown, burnt a little on pup's ears and head, then colored to match rest of pup. |

Sweet photo. I wish his or her face were a little sharper. That would help me see the expression stand out more in the photo. |

An Ok shot. Although its a cute pup there isn't really a lot of visual interest here. Nice DOF but the lighting is flat. |

lol, how cute! Is he licking an icicle? It looks a tiny bit soft in his face but I think it works with the cute subject :) |

Arn't dog great! I would like to have the shot shifted right just a bit, less out of focus body and a little more of what is being tase tested. |

Cute animal shot, nicely composed with a good DOF. I like how he's looking into the camera. |

A bit soft and more of a snapshot kind of feel to this to do well in a FS. |

Cute pooch, and a nice portrait of him. It just does not have any punch for me, though. |

A very sympathetic and appealing portrait - even to a non dog-lover like me! The focus o the face is good, with a pleasing level of texture revealed, and the drop off in focus is spot on. |
