Built this using the viewfinder lenses from a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye. The viewfinder lenses are housed in the near (left) end. The blue part and middle section are a large "sippy cup" wrapped in electrical tape. There is a macro lens attached to the camera that is sticking into the cut open bottom end of the tube.

Here is a close up of the disassembled lens, showing the square viewfinder from the Brownie attached to the lid of the sippy cup.

Thanks to Flickr's excellent Through the Viewfinder group for the inspiration.

That's what I thought. Cool thanks, now to find me a Brownie. :)

Thanks. The macro lens is not physically attached to the sippy cup. It just fits loosely inside, so that when I take a shot I need to hold the "contraption" in my left hand while I hold the camera in my right hand.

Very interesting. So does the macro lens fit snuggly into the bottom of the sippy cup or is there something holding it on? I love the results.
