took this on a trip to the tetons with our camera club.
This looked great on my laptop at home but when i started getting comments about the colors being purple and over saturated i looked at it at work and boy does it look bad. Think its time i get someting to calibrate my laptop.
Thanks for all the comments and votes

How beautiful! I would love to see a B&W conversion of this image, then it would be like what Ansel shot too!

Congrats on a strong finish in a very competitive challenge!

Might go well with the song with the lyrics, 'purple mountains majesty...'

Beautiful shot!

This is a gorgeous shot, but I have to admit my first thought was that the mountains are purple. Guess we'll see a lot of these kinds of shots at the November meeting!

Oh Griz, how beautiful!!!! And even with people complaining about the purple cast, you still got a very strong score -- especially for a free study.

Yeah. . .calibrators can pretty much be a maker or breaker. With calibration, this would have probably been on the front page. But it is STUNNING like it is too. Congratulations!

I love Ansel Adams. This is soooo pretty. The colors, the clarity, the reflection, just beautiful.

I feel like the colors are too saturated... I dunno. They're really nice, but they throw me for a second. I like how the water makes the reflection be a bit blurred - perfect reflections in water always seem weird to me.

Anyway, what I am trying to say is, good image :-)

Very pretty. Love the blue sky and the reflection in the water. The base of the mountains look purplish on my computer screen. Did the light give off that hue?

The magenta cast on the mountains seems odd in my opinion.
Would love to see this in B & W.

nice landscape but way oversaturated

Beautiful location. Maybe a tad heavy on the saturation and there seems to be a slight tilt to the right but still a stunning image.

May be an illusion but seems slightly tilted to the right?

Very colorful! The mountains look a little too purple to be real IMO though. Great DOF nonetheless.

The setting is gorgeous. It seems a touch blanched out in the mountain department. I'd love to see an adjustment of possibly curves or levels. Perfect focus and detail though. ;~D
