Interesting. I don't know but the darks seem a little too dark. Not enough detail in the darks. Perhaps it is cropped to close. Overall the photograph doesn't work for me. It depends on the use for this photo. In an ad for (something) I guess it might work. I can see it with copy text on the upper right and middle right side.

The staples of England... now all you need is the bus :P/ Nice use of selective desat. 7

I like your color treatment. Too bad about the two people walking by - either that or I would have preferred all of him to half of him. Also, that's quite the menacing sky.

i like the selective desat, the background seems oversharpened to me though

I love this selective desat! What a terrific image! Love the dual attention grabbers.

Two world famous icons indeed.

I wonder whether if you are going to point out that there are two focal points to your picture (and I don't mean the young lady in this instance) they should either both be B&W or both colour ?

imo the selective desat in this picture is not good. I feel like the booth was taken from another picture and put in this one. It also keeps my eye drawn to the couple walking and detracts from your other icon. the processing on the clouds looks a little harsh. but i do love the concept.

Nice photo. Two things about this photo though, the top of Big Ben is cut off, which I wish wasn't. Also the guy next to the booth who's face is half cut off is distracting to me. I like the clouds behind the clock they are very ominous and give a feel of creepiness to the clock. The bright red booth seems like a shelter. You could do some neat stuff with this photo post challenge.

Nice use of selective desat but I'm not so sure about the crop

Voted on low side, the selective coloring draws my attention to the phone booth, but once there does nothing. The backdrop looks dreary and uninteresting (contrary to what its like when viewing it irl). Find it cropped too tightly and maybe coloring would have worked on a wider crop or in a street candid.

Great color desaturation and subject. Reminds me of London for sure.

I am not a big fan of selective desaturation. I like the scene because it is what I think of when I think of London. The photo seems noisy, though, and I am puzzled by the blue dot in the sky.

wish the people weren't there. otherwise love this shot

I like the selective desaturation. The woman (and to a lesser extent, her half cut off partner)coming around the phone booth distracts from the real subject of the photo. (For obvious reasons)

Not a big fan of the selective desat here. The overall processing looks pretty rough and the crop is too tight. Not a pleasing shot IMO.
