The Canadian dollar, or "Loonie" as we call it, recently increased in value to reach par with, and then overtake slightly, the US dollar.

This has not happened in over thirty years.

I have several of these distinctive Mountie quarters and thought they'd look good under the right light.

I used a small flashlight held directly overhead.

In editing, I sharpened a little, cloned out a few scratches, and applied some noise reduction.

I'm sure I'll see a lot of DNMC's. I'm getting used to that, but I couldn't resist.
