Why am I the only one that LIKES the shallow DOF? For me it makes the viewer stand out where if you had the background in focus as well, your subject gets lost. I think you shoulda thrown a clown in there, John, to make the viewers happy! |

Great idea, but having 2/3 of the picture out of focus doesn't work for me. |

Beautiful comp. (Really perfect for a landscape) and I like landscapes that have a tight foreground object or detail. Great idea also. The only weak point (IMO) is the shallow DOF. A more in focus background and perhaps a B&W conversion and this is top ten. |

interesting use of perspective, i wish the landscape was a bit more interesting but good job keeping the details in the viewer thingie haha |
